The spirit of the holiday season comes in part from the generous charity of individuals and businesses all over the world. This year, Kaufman Law has chosen to sponsor a disadvantaged family through Community Assistance Center’s Adopt-A-Family program.
Community Assistance Center was founded in 1987 and serves residents of metro Atlanta communities who are experiencing an unexpected financial crisis such as job loss, reduction of wages, family separation, or high medical expenses. Like many other charities across the city, CAC works to provide basic necessities such as food, shelter, and clothing to families and individuals who may be going through a difficult time. In addition to providing financial assistance, CAC works with their clients to identify educational programs that will help them sustain a successful career and personal success for greater economic security.
One of CAC’s holiday programs, the Adopt-A-Family program, gives “an extra bit of help” to local families who have needed assistance from CAC during the past year. This year, CAC expects to give extra food and holiday gifts to about 500 families and 1,500 children throughout the Atlanta area. Kaufman Law’s role in CAC’s holiday program is to collectively donate new gifts, clothing, and toys to a family whose parents struggle to make ends meet. Our staff is especially excited to donate the gifts each child has asked for on his/her Christmas lists.
You too can help us provide holiday cheer to a needy family in the Atlanta area! Please go to http://www.ourcac.org/ to learn more about this program and other ways to assist all year long.
All gifts and clothing will be distributed to the families by Thursday, December 17th. Please join our efforts in giving families in need a holiday to remember.
